The false sense of security

"Our IT provider takes care of it." Are you sure?

Most SMBs have a competent IT provider, and conclude in good faith that their cybersecurity is covered. Yet in our engagements we regularly find gaps between what leadership believes is in place and what actually is.

It is rarely a question of competence. It is a question of mandate: nobody was asked to raise the business questions, check the evidence and connect technology, risk and management decisions.

Your IT provider takes care of your systems. Cyberallié helps you understand your risks, verify the essential safeguards and make the right decisions.

The blind spots we see most often

  • Multi-factor authentication incomplete or bypassed
  • Backups never tested with a real restore
  • Too many administrator accounts
  • Access not removed when employees leave
  • Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace left on default settings
  • Policies missing or never read
  • No plan for what to do during an incident
  • Employees pasting confidential data into AI tools

Our method

Understand, verify, train, prioritize, support

No 300-page report. Findings clearly classified - confirmed by evidence, to be fixed, not verified, not applicable - and actions you can actually carry out.

  1. Understand

Your operations, sensitive information, technology dependencies and how your team uses AI.

  2. Verify

The essential safeguards, with your IT team and real evidence instead of assumptions.

  3. Train

Leaders and employees, with examples from your own reality, without jargon.

  4. Prioritize

A realistic action plan: what to do, in what order, by whom and with what budget.

  5. Support

Ongoing follow-up so recommendations turn into results.

FAQ

Questions you may have

We already have an IT provider. Why would we need Cyberallié?

Your IT provider runs your systems. Cyberallié helps leadership understand its risks, verify that essential safeguards are actually in place and make the right decisions. We work with your IT team, never against it.

Is this a technical audit or a penetration test?

No. We conduct a guided review of essential safeguards, based on evidence provided by your organization and your IT provider. We do not run automated scans, penetration tests or continuous monitoring.

How much does it cost to get started?

The Cyber & AI Assessment is $795 plus tax. It includes a 90-minute online session and a one-page summary of your five priorities, with no obligation to go further.

Do you serve Ottawa businesses?

Yes. We work with organizations in Ottawa, Gatineau and the Outaouais, in English or French. All three services can be delivered fully online.

Can you help us use ChatGPT or Copilot without exposing our data?

Yes, it is one of our specialties. We help you choose the right use cases, define what must never be shared with an AI tool and put it all in a simple acceptable-use policy.
